5 tips for beginners Downhill / Gravity Bike
Updated: Nov 11, 2021
Here are the advice of the national instructor Claudio Perotti (@CanaveseFreeride) on how to approach the Gravity and Downhill discipline of mountain biking.
1. FIRST THING: TAKE A CLASSES
Trying to take a course to make everything easier and faster, unfortunately sometimes being self-taught you learn wrong movements which then we carry out over time (erasing something already written and rewriting is more difficult than writing on a piece of paper White)
2. CONFIDENCE AND DECISION
Have self-confidence (if to have it more you need all the protections, PUT IT, you must have a free mind and as few fears as possible when starting)
3. YOUR BIKE COULD BE DAMAGED :'(
Do not be afraid of damaging the bike (rather as the first bike take a bike that does not affect your wallet if you damage it, so that you focus more on the person)
4. SECOND THINGS: HAVE FUN!!!
Do not think about becoming "pro" but about having fun and achieving your goals that you have created for yourself (not those of others)
5. GO, GO, GO, GO!!!
Well yes! the more we can ride on our bike the greater the confidence. (applying the 4 previous tips)
The Gravity discipline is undoubtedly a lot of fun, but it contains objective risks and the setting with a bicycle must already be corrected immediately. This immediately allows for fun and above all avoids dangerous habits that can also lead to injuries. Therefore the final advice is to contact the South Face Paradise instructors directly to organize a course tailored to your level Here is our proposal to approach the world of gravity bike ...
